Samsung GearWhile many fans of the Samsung Gear line of smartwatches are anticipating the official unveiling of the new Gear 3 and Gear Solo models at IFA 2014, Samsung itself is reporting another success with its already released products. Together with the South Korean manufacturer, the application developers themselves focused on the Gear smart watch, and thanks to this, more than 1000 applications are now available for download. Samsung has decided to celebrate the achievement of this milestone by releasing a new infographic, in which it presents the top 5 and several other popular applications in their respective categories.

Among the top five apps available for the Samsung Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo and Galaxy Gear, the Drink Water app ranked first. Thanks to the sensors in the watch, it checks the user's drinking regime and supplies him with the necessary data to comply with it. As the second of the five best in the infographic, we find the famous Runtastic, this application measures values during exercise (including e.g. running length, calories burned, etc.) and shows them to the user. The Baby Sitting application, which we find third in the infographic, thanks to the paired Galaxy the device monitors the child's sleep and alerts the user when something is wrong. The Gear 2048 application was also selected among the top five, in the entertainment category. This is a version of the famous game 2048 for the Gear watch. Lastly, Samsung included Travel Translator as one of the top five applications, which, as the name suggests, translates foreign languages to make them understandable to the user.
