The Samsung Gear S watch surprised with several factors. In addition to the changed design, a slot for a SIM card was added, thanks to which the watch became a more independent product that can replace a smartphone. But what we were interested in is where is the slot for the SIM card when the watch is based on the cleanest possible design? We already found the answer to this in the official photos for the press, which revealed to us that the slot for the SIM card is located in the lower plastic part of the watch, where, among other things, the blood pressure sensor and the charger are located.
Samsung has not yet announced whether the watch supports standard microSIM cards or will switch to nanoSIM, a technology that Apple presented for the first time 2 years ago at the show iPhone 5. In that case, you would have to cut the current card or get a new one from the operator. However, we will find out what cards the Samsung Gear S watch will support during the IFA 2014 trade fair, or later when the product is released. Our watches will be sold at the beginning of October/October.
