OneDrive_iconRecently, we can only hear good news about the Microsoft OneDrive service, which can convince users that OneDrive is the right cloud. Already during the summer holidays, Microsoft increased the storage size for Office 365 users from 25 GB to a staggering 1 TB, which thus became really affordable. Now comes another news, namely that Microsoft has increased the maximum size of the uploaded file from 2 GB to 10 GB.

Xbox One owners in particular can welcome this change with open arms, as Microsoft recently released an update that brings support for MKV files and thus for movies in HD or Full HD quality. The company apparently expects that people will buy the Office 365 package alongside the Xbox One, which will not only give users access to the latest version of Office for PC, Mac and iPad tablets, but also give them the aforementioned 1 TB of storage. In practice, Microsoft has solved the streaming of downloaded movies in its own way, although it is still necessary to take into account the fact that the movies have to be uploaded to the cloud - so uploading Full HD movies with a size of 10 GB can be a matter of all night.

In addition to the changes mentioned above, users can also Windows and on the Mac, look forward to an increase in the number of simultaneously downloaded or uploaded files. Finally, users should expect a new feature that will allow files to be instantly uploaded to OneDrive. This will happen similar to what is possible today with Dropbox, that is, it is enough to click on any file that the user has stored on his computer with the right mouse button and in the menu that appeared, just click on the button "Share OneDrive link". This button automatically uploads the file to OneDrive and at the same time generates a link for the user to download the file, which he can then share himself.
