On the one hand, it looks like Samsung and Microsoft are making peace again, but the companies have met in court to try to resolve their issues. Specifically, Samsung stopped paying Microsoft patent usage fees after it bought Nokia. According to the agreement, Samsung was to pay $3,21 for each device sold that uses Microsoft's patents. It should be noted that Microsoft, although it has not produced any device with Androidom (not counting Nokia X), owns more than 300 patents related to Androidom.

During the court hearing, it was revealed that Samsung had already paid $1 billion for the patents in 2013, and this is where the question arises as to why the pair of companies came together in court. In fact, Microsoft accused Samsung that even though it paid the said billion, it paid it late, and for that time Microsoft has already started charging interest. Interest on the delay rose to $6,8 million, but Samsung did not want to pay it because it thought that the Nokia buyout voided the agreement between the two companies.
