Nvidia logoThe US International Trade Commission acceded to nVidia's lawsuit against Samsung. A well-known graphics card manufacturer has now accused the South Korean company of some devices infringing patents related to graphics chips. With the ITC also involved in this case, this means for Samsung that the US government can ban Samsung from selling several new phones and tablets in the country, including Galaxy Note Edge, Galaxy Note 4 or Galaxy S5.

The overall list of devices is indeed comprehensive, as Nvidia is tracking devices with Exynos or Snapdragon S4, Snapdragon 400, Snapdragon 600, Snapdragon 800, Snapdragon 801, and Snapdragon 805 processors. Anyway, Nvidia's lawsuit against Samsung seems pretty strange, especially since all these devices use third-party graphics chips. So we will see how the situation with Samsung in the US develops, anyway it is also possible that the companies will agree to an agreement or Samsung will pay compensation in an as yet unspecified amount, thanks to which it will retain its position in the market there.
