LogoWhat's going on? After all the new devices, Samsung announces that the third quarter was not the best and that it expects a profit drop of about 60%! While last year's third quarter was quite successful and they recorded a profit of just under 10 billion, this year it is much worse. Samsung sadly announced that it expects a profit of between 3,6 and 4 billion dollars.

We also learned the interesting news that more than 60% of all revenue of Samsung Electronics comes from the sale of mobile phones. But there are two huge factors behind this mystery that Samsung didn't realize fast enough. The first factor is the popularity of Chinese mobile phones, which usually have better or the same specifications as Samsung's flagships, while costing half as much. This not only causes lower sales of the best mobile phones of the Korean giant, but also makes it almost impossible to sell the middle and lowest class. Because a mid-range phone from Samsung unfortunately costs as much as the flagship of brands like Lenovo, Xiaomi and the like.

The second big factor is Apple. Since the latest iPhone came with a much larger screen, it is competitive with devices with Androidoh And since Apple already has some reputation, sales of new iPhones reached such a number that it automatically reduced Samsung's income by more than 15%. Still, 10 million units of iPhones in the first week, that's a really respectable value. However, some experts expect positive news. As Samsung develops its own chips, this is expected to bring Samsung's profits back to normal. We can only wait to see how it will end and where Samsung will end up.
