Samsung Power SleepCancer is something that affects practically all of us. It is a disease that we all know and none of us is excluded from getting it. Scientists are understandably trying to get rid of this malignant disease and are therefore researching a way to develop an effective prevention against cancer. For this, of course, they also use computers, and Samsung, as a technology company, has started a collaboration with the University of Vienna to develop an interesting project called Power Sleep. From a common user's perspective, it looks like it's a free app that they can download anytime from the Google Play Store.

But the purpose of the application is completely different. The whole application is based on the idea that we, the users, can participate in the research of cancer drugs and can accelerate this research. After opening the application and activating the timer, your smartphone will connect to the scientific servers and start sending them your performance during the set time, which can already represent a difference in the computing power used in cancer prevention research with hundreds of devices. In this case, no private data is sent to the servers.
