Samsung OLED TVAccording to the foreign portal CNET, Kim Hyun-seok, the head of Samsung Electronics in the field of televisions, announced today that the release of an OLED TV from the South Korean giant will not be easy. It is said that it is still too early for that, in addition, according to him, Samsung will not change its strategy for this year and next year, from which it can be easily deduced that we will probably not see the first Samsung OLED TVs even during 2015. Instead of focusing on the relatively new OLED technology, Samsung wants to draw more attention to its UHD LCD televisions using the so-called Quantum Dot technology, at least that is what the aforementioned foreign portal claims.

LCD televisions using Quantum Dot technology originally had a problem with the production of an element called cadmium, which is highly toxic to humans, but according to ZDNet Korea, Samsung has already solved this problem and the technology, which uses semiconductor materials to obtain better colors and wider viewing angles, is fully safe. According to assumptions, the company was supposed to show the first such TV to the public at the IFA 2014 trade fair in September/September, but that did not happen, and CES 2015 in Las Vegas seems to be the next suitable event, where we might already meet UHD LCD TVs with Quantum Dot.
