Project BeyondAt yesterday's conference, Samsung presented numerous new products, and among them there was also a new product called Project Beyond. It is a unique 3D camera that is capable of shooting 360-degree video, which can then be watched using the Samsung Gear VR. The products thus complement each other, and when you sometimes take this camera to a lookout tower, for example, you can always repeat the moments in a unique presentation, as you will practically always see something different.

There are 16 cameras on the side of Project Beyond that capture a wide-angle image at 1 Gigapixel per second. There is also a 17th camera on top of the camera, which captures the image above you, so you will be able to look at the sky as well. Project Beyond is already available in the near future for developers to use to create environments in their applications and games. Samsung wants this to ensure that developers develop enough content before the Gear VR goes on sale. But we'll see if Beyond will ever see it in stores or if it will remain behind the content.
