Samsung VoltWith a significant drop in profits over the past period, Samsung is clearly trying to find alternative ways to increase its profits as much as possible. After the company has bet on curved displays, for which its plans are still successful due to the low competition, according to the portal The Information, it is apparently resorting to another novelty. This should consist of launching your own (paid) video streaming service.

The current or cover name for the service being developed is "Volt". Volt is supposed to serve as a kind of competition to the already established Netflix, but there is supposed to be one major difference between the two services, and that is in focus. While Netflix is primarily concerned with series and films, Volt's content should consist mainly of shorter films, but how short and how specialized has not yet been specified. When Samsung intends to make the Volt available for its devices and under what name we should know in the coming months.
