As Samsung tries to regain its position in the smartphone market, where it suffered a huge blow last quarter in the form of a record drop in profits, reports are abounding on social media that the South Korean manufacturer uses recycled AMOLED displays in the production of smartphones. The attached photos and videos, which were supposed to have been taken directly from Samsung's assembly lines, are supposed to prove this.
Samsung itself has commented on this accusation. He announced on his official blog that recycled AMOLED panels were never used in the production of new devices, it only happens in some of the claimed smartphones to reduce costs. At the same time, the company refuted speculation that the photos were posted on the Internet by a Samsung employee and that they were taken at the South Korean giant's factory.
