SamsungIt's true that exploding smartphones aren't exactly an everyday occurrence, but a student from the University of Ontario won't forget her recent experience for some time. According to a newly published report by CBC News, on October 22 this year, the said student, whose name is Hope Casserly, had her Samsung smartphone explode Galaxy Ace. Allegedly, this happened while she was sleeping, and the phone was not even on the charger, it was just lying next to the bed.

Specifically, the battery was supposed to explode, from which the bed also caught fire, but luckily the student was not hurt. According to Samsung, it took the damaged device to South Korea for investigation and the student replaced it with a new one. 1000 euros. It is not yet certain how the South Korean manufacturer will deal with this, but they will probably pay the amount.
