SUHD TV raises picture quality to a new level

Samsung has unveiled the JS88 9500-inch TV, which uses original, environmentally friendly nano-crystal display technology and an intelligent SUHD upscaling engine. SUHD TV is revolutionary in every way, it will offer a first-class picture with stunning contrast, sparkling clarity, effective colors and perfect UHD detail.

The SUHD upscaling engine automatically analyzes image brightness to avoid unnecessary power consumption while creating accurate contrasts. The resulting image offers much darker areas, while the bright parts of the image are 2,5 times brighter than on conventional TVs and with twice the number of color points.

SUHD TV's Nano Crystal Semiconductors transmit different colors of light depending on their size, resulting in the production of the purest colors with the highest luminous efficiency currently available on the market. This technology conveys a wide palette of the most accurate colors and provides viewers with 64 times more colors than conventional TVs.

Thanks to the cooperation with the major Hollywood studio 20th Century Fox, Samsung is able to provide its customers with an unrivaled offer of movies in UHD resolution.

Recently, Samsung collaborated with Fox Innovation Lab to remaster a few select scenes from the award-winning film Exodus specifically for SUHD TV. The result is spectacular, scenes come to life and gain new colors and brightness. In addition, SUHD TVs use environmentally friendly technology that ensures first-class economy and reliability.

Acclaimed Hollywood colorist Stephen Nakamura explained the significance of SUHD TV's color reproduction at a press conference. "Colors they determine the tone of the entire film work. They can completely change the mood and the final impression,” said Nakamura, who worked on X-Men, Days of Future Past, Quantum of Solace and Exodus. "Now I've been working on editing Exodus scenes for viewing on SUHD TVs and the difference is incredible. SUHD technology really brought the film to life in a way I couldn't have imagined.”
