smartthings_conaThat's it already. Samsung plans to switch to smart electronics in the next two years, and even if 10 years ago it seemed impossible that you would check from work remotely whether you turned off the light at home before leaving, today it is quite a common thing. And an increasing number of appliances that we use every day will adapt to this trend, whether it is a washing machine, refrigerator, vacuum cleaner or air conditioner. All of this will be possible to control with your phone or even your watch within 2 years, since the latest ones from Samsung already have their own SIM card.

But it is necessary to ensure that there is some order in it, and this purpose is fulfilled by the Samsung SmartThings hub, which allows you to connect all the smart home electronics to your mobile phone or watch by simply connecting the given electronics to the hub. It will all work in a similar fashion to buying a set of wireless speakers such as the Harman Kardon OMNI and connecting them to your WiFi router. In this case, however, you connect the appliances to a white box, which you ideally place as close as possible to the WiFi router. It may seem that it takes up unnecessary space around the sockets, but it is not so.

In fact, this allows you to control your electronics remotely without having to be connected to your home WiFi. You connect the hub with an application where you can easily configure the intelligent electronics that will start to appear and be sold in the coming months and years. And as a bonus, we can expect to control it all with our voice, so it won't look crazy when you suddenly say in your car that you want to open the garage door and turn on the heater because it's -10°C outside. The hub itself will go on sale this year at a relatively low price, although it will be the basic building block of your future smart home.

Of course, wanting to build a smart home is an interesting idea, but what will you actually connect? At this year's CES, a lot of smart electronics appeared, ranging from timed outlets to garage doors to alarms that track movement and alert you to it with a notification. If we were to go into details, they are intelligent locks, thermostats, rheostats, switches, light bulbs, cameras, motion sensors, alarms, fire detectors, water leak detectors, moisture detectors, speakers or even the Jawbone UP24 fitness bracelet. And in the future, it is possible to expect support for other electronics, which will already include washing machines, refrigerators, microwaves (?), stoves, in short, everything you can think of that can be intelligent in some way. So the potential for the future is really great, and what's more, as you can see, you don't have to connect it to Samsung devices. The openness of the platform is also confirmed by the fact that you can also download the SmartThings application on iPhone, not only on Galaxy.

So if you are planning to build a smart home, you can download the pre app right now Android, iPhone or Windows Phone Number.
