EDSAPA group of engineers from Samsung developed a prototype device under the nickname EDSAP, loosely translated "Early Detection Sensor and Algorithm Package". This device can warn the user of an impending stroke. We can encounter a stroke, for example, as a result of blood clotting. This prototype monitors brain waves and if it happens to encounter signs of a stroke, it immediately warns the user via an application installed on their smartphone or tablet.

This system consists of two parts. The first part is the headset, which contains built-in sensors that monitor the brain's electrical impulses. The second part is an application that analyzes this data based on algorithms. If the system detects a problem, the processing and subsequent notification takes less than a minute.

This project started about two years ago. A group of five engineers from Samsung C-Lab (Samsung Creative Lab) wanted to take a closer look at the stroke problem. Samsung C-Lab was very excited about this project and helped its employees to develop the device.

In addition to a stroke warning, this device can monitor your stress level or sleep. Engineers are currently working on the possibility of heart monitoring.

Although strokes can be prevented by simple steps, such as regular blood pressure checks. We should also pay attention to a balanced diet, if you still have doubts, just visit your general practitioner. However, the time when your doctor will have access to your current data is fast approaching. Engineers from Samsung C-Lab are hard at work on it.
