Bratislava, February 5, 2015 – Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., a unit in the field of home entertainment for the past 9 years, today presented a wide range of SUHD TVs for this year at the European Forum in Monaco. The new TVs bring premium UHD content and take the viewing experience to a higher level again.
In Monaco, Samsung also presented its extensive portfolio of audio products, including the new Omni-Directional 360 Ambient Audio and new curved soundbars, which feature crystal clear sound and a design that perfectly complements the look of curved TVs.

Samsung Premium "S" TV: New SUHD TV
Samsung marks its premium, flagship products with the letter "S", which represent a real step forward in technology. Most recently, it also marked the new line of SUHD TVs with the letter "S". These models are designed to leave no one cold, be it image quality, interaction or stylish design.
Samsung SUHD TVs demonstrate revolutionary advances in contrast, brightness, color reproduction and overall excellent picture quality. Everything is possible thanks to the use of patented ecological nanocrystal technology and the intelligent SUHD engine for image upscaling, which helps to significantly improve image quality.
The SUHD TV's nanocrystalline semiconductors transmit different colors of light depending on their size, resulting in the production of the purest colors with the highest luminous efficiency currently available on the market. This technology conveys a wide palette of the most accurate colors and provides viewers with 64 times more colors than conventional televisions. Function for remastering content in Samsung SUHD TVs automatically analyzes the brightness of the image to avoid additional energy consumption when creating accurate contrasts. The resulting image offers much darker areas, while bright parts of the image are 2,5 times brighter than on conventional TVs.
Thanks to cooperation with a major Hollywood studio 20th Century Fox has Samsung optimized content that meets premium SUHD quality standards. This partnership enables us to provide our customers with an unrivaled range of films in UHD resolution. Samsung also works with Fox Innovation Lab on the remastering of several selected scenes from the film Pi and his life by director Ang Lee, especially for SUHD television. In addition, SUHD TVs use environmentally friendly technology, which ensures first-class economy and reliability.
Samsung is also working with industry leaders to support the safe and stable development of a comprehensive UHD ecosystem. That's why Samsung founded the so-called UHD Alliance - a coalition of companies that have come together to constantly raise the level of video entertainment. The new TVs will meet new standards that will support innovation in video technology, including 4K and higher resolutions, high dynamic range, wider color gamut and immersive 3D audio.
Samsung will offer three new tips of SUHD TVs – JS9500, JS9000 and JS8500 – in screen sizes from 48 to 88 inches. In this way, customers can get not only the best possible picture, but also the TV that best suits their home.
Sophisticated and refined curved design
When Samsung first introduced curved TVs in 2013, the team dramatically enriched the viewing experience and the entire sphere of home entertainment. Inspiration from the ideas of contemporary art and architecture brought modern and minimalist elements to the design of the televisions.

The new Smart TV changes ideas about entertainment

Samsung versatile 360 Audio – a new era of premium sound
Audio system WAM7500/6500 (Ambient Audio) was developed in the top audio laboratories in Valencia, California. The speakers are made of premium materials and their style will match any interior. The newly introduced 8500 series will also offer excellent 9.1 channel sound thanks to the central speaker and other side speakers (there are 9 in the soundbar in total), including two located at the ends of the soundbar. The soundbar conveys deeper bass than conventional audio devices thanks to the use of its own patented speaker Multi-Air Gap in the subwoofer.
