Galaxy Note 4 fingerprintsYou own last year's Samsung Galaxy Note 4? Then you must have asked the question "what can you actually do with the fingerprint scanner?" several times. And we may surprise you, but the fingerprint scanner on the Note 4 really has more uses than just unlocking the phablet, as some mistakenly believe. Several applications can work with the scanner, most of which are related to security, but there are also some with a wider use.

You will find the most interesting ones directly in this article. Just like on Samsung Galaxy Note 4, whose review you can read here, then the applications also work on a smartphone Galaxy The S5, which was, among other things, the first Samsung smartphone to feature fingerprint scanning technology. A selection of applications that use the fingerprint scanner can be found here:

1) PayPal
It is relatively well known about the PayPal application that it can use a fingerprint scanner for security. And no wonder, it is because it was PayPal that introduced this technology together with Samsung on its smartphones. If your Note 4 does not have the PayPal app by default, you can download it for free from Google Play and in the login settings, you only need to choose the option with a fingerprint sensor.

2) LastPass
Password managers have become more and more popular recently, and we can find countless of them on Google Play. In most cases, the user is then recommended to choose a long combination of various characters as the main password, which, of course, can significantly delay entry. LastPass is therefore equipped with the option to set your fingerprint as a "password" and let's face it, isn't swiping your thumb over the sensor somewhat faster than typing a complex password? You can download LastPass from Google Play from the link here, however, it is not free, after the trial period the application will require the purchase of the full version for 12 dollars (250 CZK, 10 Euro).

3) Keeper Password Managers
A somewhat simpler LastPass, which also has the option to set up password database unlocking using a fingerprint scanner. A somewhat stripped down trial version is available for free download from Google Play. However, if you are interested in advanced options including linking one password database across multiple devices, you should consider investing $10-$30 in this app.

4) SafeInCloud Password Managers
Like the previous two password managers, SafeInCloud works together with the fingerprint scanner on Galaxy Note 4. Unlike Keeper Password Manager and LastPass, however, you do not pay annually for SafeInCloud, but once upon download. Its price then amounts to exactly $7.99, which is converted to around 200 CZK or 7 Euros. You can find the link to purchase here.

5) We KNOX
Samsung's sophisticated KNOX security system and specifically this application work together with the fingerprint scanner in many ways. My KNOX then has a number of conveniences, including moving selected applications to specially secured areas, which the user can access thanks to the set fingerprint. You can download My KNOX for free from the link here.

6) Samsung browser
Most users Androidu will download your favorite browser immediately after completing the first phone setup, which it will then use instead of the built-in one. Compared to the similar stories we know from computers and the "browser" Internet Explorer, however, downloading another browser may not always be the best solution, especially Galaxy Note 4 no, because the built-in browser from Samsung supports working with a fingerprint scanner, and on supported websites, instead of entering a combination of username and password, you can log in by touching your finger to the sensor. Not only is this solution much faster than entering data, but it is also much more secure, because unlike a password, no one can usually guess your fingerprint.

7) Other Samsung applications
If you have on Galaxy Note 4 set to use the fingerprint scanner, you can also use the sensor in other applications from Samsung. These include, for example, trade Galaxy Apps where you can confirm purchases or edit your account with just the touch of your thumb. Next to Galaxy Apps can then be used with the scanner together with other services, or during other purchases, which will be several times faster using the fingerprint sensor.
