TabPRO_8.4_7Samsung is working on a new line-up of tablets and is currently working on models Galaxy Tab A a Galaxy Tab A Plus. Both come in two sizes, but if you put the Tab A and Tab A Plus side by side, you'll find only two differences between them. The Tab A Plus includes the S Pen and 2GB of RAM instead of 1,5GB. Unfortunately, on the display side, it looks like Samsung is going to take a significant step back. The tablets are supposed to offer a display with a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels, which is the resolution used by the first iPad in 2010 and which we remember from back in the day Windows XP.

At the same time, the team reveals that the displays should have a completely new diagonal, 4:3, while all previous Tabs were wide-angle. They will also be available in similar sizes to iPads – 8″ and 9,7″. The smaller model will feature a Snapdragon 410 processor (4 cores, 1.2GHz), 5-megapixel rear and 2-megapixel front cameras, 16GB of storage, and a 4mAh battery, so it could last the work day. The larger model has a 200 mAh battery and an as yet unknown Qualcomm APQ6 processor.

However, as you can see, compromises come with the thinness of 7,4 mm, so Samsung will launch mid-range tablets on the market in the near future, while competitors produce more powerful models. But apparently there is no need to worry, as the company will probably also produce some high-end model for professionals, gamers or technology fans who suffer from performance. However, with the performance mentioned above, both tablets could fulfill work tasks (writing documents, handling e-mails, etc.) very well. After all, when I tried last year Galaxy Tab3 Lite, the tablet could be used for work, even though it had such weak hardware that it is sold today for €90.
