Samsung Gear Live BlackOver the past year, sales of smart watches have grown significantly, as 4,6 million watches were sold, of which more than 720 were from the platform Android Wear. It already includes several models, but the models using the innovative circular display, thanks to which the smart watch looks very natural, have received the most attention. And at the same time, it is the reason why watches like Moto 360 and LG G Watch The R became the top model, while the sales figures of the others are not so high.

This also applies to the Samsung Gear Live, which was actually a lighter version of the Gear 2 without the Home Button and with a different system. Well, the minimal differences in the design of the two watches are the reason why no one probably remembers that Samsung also produced such a model (Gear Live). Simply put, the Samsung Gear Live didn't have enough of an X-factor to get people to buy it, and it didn't seem as innovative as competing solutions, which is disappointing especially when the platform Android Wear and the Moto 360 watch was introduced much earlier.

And maybe Samsung didn't even want to innovate much - it wants to push Tizen and it won't succeed as long as it innovates on a competing platform. So the solution was more or less inevitable. The watch was supposed to come as a solution for users Android Wear, but at the same time they were not allowed to harm the sales of other models with Tizen. Well, today, when Tizen is compatible with devices with Androidom and at the same time it is not only found on the watch, there is practically nothing that forces Samsung to use it Android. So, with high probability, we can say that last year's generation of Samsung Gear Live was also the last - unless it decides to use a circular display.
