Samsung presented Galaxy Tab S (review) as the best tablet from his workshop and if we are talking about the use of AMOLED display and design, there is no doubt about it. However, he also had his problems and the biggest one was probably the hardware, which in his case was not exactly the best. However, it is precisely these ailments that he is supposed to solve Galaxy Tab S 2, which will bring both powerful hardware and improvements that will definitely surprise - for better or for worse. The turning point will probably be the fact that Samsung abandons its previous philosophy and the pair of tablets will have the same screen size as the iPad Air and iPad mini - and with the same resolution.
More precisely, this means that the smaller model has an 8″ display (iPad mini has 7,9″), while the larger model will have 9,7″, so we are seeing a reduction compared to last year’s 10,5″. At the same time as the diagonal, the resolution will also decrease, it will now be 2048 x 1536 and we can expect a density of 326 and 264 ppi. Next, we should expect a hardware upgrade; more precisely, we should expect a processor upgrade to the Exynos 7450, although there is speculation about the use of the 32-bit Exynos 5433. Due to the presence Androidhowever, with 5.0.2, doubts arise that Samsung would like to "kill" its flagship device in this way.
Next to it, we find in the tablet 3 GB of RAM and also storage with a capacity of a very pleasant 32 GB, which can be expanded by another 128 GB with cards. The rear camera will retain the resolution of 8 megapixels and the front camera is 2.1 megapixels, again. The biggest surprise will definitely be the design, it will be different compared to the previous generation and while it combined a golden frame and imitation leather, this time we see a return to the metallic look, for the first time since Galaxy Taboo 7,7″. However, it is not clear whether it will be aluminum or just textured plastic. Both models will be smaller than iPads and lighter at the same time. For comparison:
