SamsungSamsung's woes from the third quarter of 2014, when sales of its mobile division hit the lowest figures in several years, are apparently not quite over. According to reports from Strategy Analytics, an American market research company, in the fourth quarter of 2014, Samsung's share of the smartphone market fell to just 10 percent. What is even worse for the South Korean giant is that the share of competitor Apple has risen to a whopping 48.9%.

As for the results of smartphone sales for the whole year, the situation is somewhat similar. Apple improved and climbed to a total of 37.6% of smartphones sold. Compared to its Californian counterpart, Samsung again did worse, and with 25.1% of smartphones sold, it can "boast" the fact that it had the worst smartphone sales in 2014 since the last quarter of 2011, despite the fact that the year before last, Samsung managed to sell almost the same number of smartphones as Apple. However, this is probably due to the fact that Apple presented two novelties with large displays in the fall/autumn and, as it has already been shown, there is huge interest among customers.
