Galaxy S6 Edge_Left Front_Black SapphireWhen you introduce a mobile with a three-sided display, it is a reason to review the history of mobile screens. Samsung just did it and published an interesting infographic on its website that presents how time has gone with mobile displays. The history begins in 1988, when Samsung introduced its very first mobile phone. It already had an analog display, on which you had one line suitable just for showing the phone number. By the way, mobile phones were very similar then as they are today - they were big and had a weak battery.

6 years later, a mobile phone with three lines of display came and you already had a section with menus and icons on it. In 1998, 10 years after the first mobile from Samsung, its phones learned to send SMS messages. Another significant revolution came in 2000, when mobile phones with two displays entered the market. 2002 was the year when Samsung introduced a flip-flop with a color display and high resolution. This display was already of sufficient quality to be able to watch videos and three years later we got the ability to watch TV via mobile phone. Unfortunately, today, when displays are about 10 times larger, this function is not used much. On the other hand, we have a mobile phone with the highest pixel density on the market, which is also curved on both sides.
