YouTubeFans of Jerry Bruckheimer's CSI series will surely remember the scenes where the detectives on a somewhat futuristic device go through the crime scene using the created 3D video. And YouTube users have exactly the same option, as it has introduced support for 360-degree videos. Simply put, it is now possible in some videos to select the point of view from which we want to watch the video using the added interface.

Unfortunately, playing 360° videos has its limitations. For the full functionality of 360° videos, the user must watch them either from the Google Chrome browser or from the official one Android YouTube app. Google most likely decided to start supporting this kind of videos because of the VR headsets that lately. is expanding on the market, in which Samsung also has a share, which half a year ago, together with the creators of the original Oculus Rift, presented its own virtual reality headset, the Samsung Gear VR.

There are already several videos of this kind available to watch on YouTube, and you can watch some of them on our website, just below the text. However, they will of course grow over time, and it is possible that in a few months we will be able to watch, for example, a recording of a hockey game from any angle, similar to what is possible thanks to the "Recording" function of the popular NHL game series.
