samsung_display_4KSamsung is currently the most important manufacturer of mobile processors on the market. The company came up with 14-nm processors, which it decided to immediately use in Galaxy S6 and it is rumored that it will also produce processors with the help of the same technology Apple A9 for another iPhone. Well, as it seems, Samsung could have changed its priorities and could have acquired an interesting customer, which is Qualcomm. At least that's what analysts from Bernstein Research believe, who at the same time stated that TSMC may slowly exit the market, or a difficult period awaits it.

Although today the Taiwanese manufacturer produces processors for iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, but its position will decrease with the arrival of the next iPhone, and its cooperation with Qualcomm looks equally uncertain. The latter was the main customer of TSMC, while 40-50% of all its production belongs to Qualcomm. Problems with overheating of the Snapdragon 810 chip, which is manufactured using a 20-nm process, as well as the fact that the chip lags behind the Exynos 7420, which is used in Galaxy S6. It was the pair of problems that should have convinced Qualcomm to speed up development and switch to a South Korean manufacturer that can produce processors for it using the 14- or 16-nm manufacturing process. So does this mean that future Snapdragon processors will be manufactured by Samsung?
