Galaxy S6 MagazineSamsung Galaxy The S6 is already in our newsroom, and one of the biggest questions surrounding this new product is battery life. No wonder, engineers from South Korea have created a super-thin device and put the best and latest at their disposal. The result is a phone with a top-notch design that you shouldn't be ashamed of Apple and cutting-edge hardware that beats all the competition. And finally, there is a battery with a capacity of only 2 mAh, from which Samsung promises that the phone will maintain the same durability as its predecessor - even with a QHD display. But it is true?

In this article we will look at battery life in normal use as well as charging. We left the phone charged to 100% on the table at night, and in the morning, around 7:00, our pilgrimage began. From then on, the phone held up in normal use until 21:45 p.m., when we had to put it back on the charger. When I compare it with the predecessor, so Galaxy The S6 has slightly weaker battery life. Last year, our Galaxy The S5 lasted until the middle of the next day and then we had to put it on the charger. But to make things concrete, the screen was on for a total of 3 hours and 9 minutes until the battery indicator dropped to 1%. The phone stayed at this last percentage for another 12 minutes before it finally turned off. During the day, a video was recorded in 4K resolution, several shorter videos in Full HD (60 fps), photos at 16 megapixels, Selfies at 5 megapixels, surfing the Internet, watching videos on YouTube, and finally Facebook Messenger, which was constantly active Background.

The charging itself is very fast, that is, if you charge the phone with a cable and not wirelessly. In this case, the phone goes from 0 to 100% in 91 minutes, i.e. in an hour and a half. Moreover, after the first 25 minutes, the battery is charged to 42%, which is a good sign if you need to charge your mobile phone quickly and you need it to last at least few hours. In the case of wireless charging, the process is significantly slower and this type of charging fulfills its purpose during sleep or during work. However, the greatest potential of wireless charging will be revealed only after the first "charging" furniture from IKEY, which is being worked on with Samsung, reaches the market. For now, though, future S6 owners have a wireless charger at their disposal, which we'll be reviewing soon. With it, the phone charged in 3 hours and 45 minutes, which is about 2,5 times slower than with the cable. However, as I said, this is a technology that you will use especially at night, and then you don't pay attention to the state of your cell phone's battery.
