In today's modern world, where even furniture is becoming "smart", it is not easy to expect what technological innovation will appear on the market next. At the same time, the latest initiative, which is created thanks to the cooperation of Samsung and Samsonite, only confirms this. We are talking here about intelligent suitcases that both companies are currently preparing, and although it may sound like a crazy idea at first glance, it has its bright sides.
Many of those who have flown at least once by plane know the few minutes of tension while waiting at the baggage belt. Quite often, however, it happens that the suitcase doesn't arrive at all for mysterious reasons, and if after a few days you don't even get a phone call that your suitcase was found at the airport on the other side of the world, it's probably amen to it. However, this will not happen with an intelligent suitcase, because according to the available information, it should be equipped with a chip, thanks to which it will be possible to track it with the help of GPS.
For now, this should be the only thing that smart suitcases from Samsonite should have. There is already speculation that their next generation could, among other things, send an SMS message to its owner immediately after leaving the plane, but it has not yet been specified when the current generation should reach the market. In any case, it is probably only a matter of time before the suitcases will be intelligent enough to carry themselves.
