Samsung Smart Signage TVSamsung plans to start mass production next year of the most advanced OLED advertising displays on the market, which will truly define the future of the screen. These are technologies that you could see so far in science fiction films or at an exhibition in South Korea, or at the CES fair in Las Vegas. Together with LG Display, the company presented a pair of concepts that seem to be interesting for stores and it is therefore somewhat likely that giants such as Apple.

First of all, it is a mirror display, or, if you prefer, an intelligent mirror. In its essence, however, it is a display with such high reflectivity that it reflects all light almost like a classic mirror, but at the same time emits its own, which can be used, for example, to display the price of the clothes you are currently trying on in the test booth. The second novelty is the transparent displays, through which you can see everything behind them and at the same time you can see various information on them. Instead of the previous displays in stores, you could see information about current discounts or news in addition to the products, so you would have an immediate overview of what you can buy. However, such displays could also be used at home, for example, the windows could show you the weather forecast for the next hours or days, which I would appreciate if only because the morning was sunny and the rest of the day stretches out in the rain and I am completely soaked. LG is also currently working on extending the life of its displays, and it looks like its displays will last at least 20 years if they are turned on for 8 hours a day. And if you think that this is a business from which you cannot make a living, then you are wrong. It is expected that in 2020, sales from it will exceed 20 billion dollars.
