Samsung-Unveils-Exynos-5250-Dual-Core-Application-ProcessorJust a few days ago, we informed you that Samsung is working on new processors for mid-range phones. The company would like to improve its financial situation in this way and believes that starting production for such a wide range of devices represented by the middle class can help it in this. At first, however, it will start producing processors for its own phones. And now we learn the first details about the pair of chips, Exynos 7650 and Exynos 7880.

In the case of the Exynos 7650 processor, it is a chip manufactured using the 28nm manufacturing process, which has 64-bit Cortex-A72 cores with a clock speed of 1.7GHz and Cortex-A53 with a clock speed of 1.3 GHz. The cores are connected using the big.LITTLE architecture and their configuration also includes an ARM Mali-T860MP3 graphics chip. The second chip is slightly more powerful, the more powerful of the two cores has a frequency of 1.8 GHz, and there is also a more powerful Mali-T860MP4 graphic. We will probably see this processor, the Exynos 7880, in next year's refreshes Galaxy A3X, Galaxy A5X and A7X. However, both types of processors will be used in mid-range phones, i.e. also in series Galaxy J a Galaxy E, which is not on sale here.
