batteriesSamsung innovates wherever it can and even if some changes are not visible to the naked eye, they are still there and we can consider them groundbreaking. The company presented the world with the first flexible batteries in the shape of a cable, thanks to which we could expect extended battery life in smart watches in the future, as the battery would now not only be located in the watch itself, but also in the strap that would be connected to it. And given that today's smartwatches have some battery life issues, it's entirely possible that Samsung's new super-flexible batteries will be a big hit.

The Samsung SDI division presented them under the names Band Battery and Stripe Battery, where the first mentioned is wider and directly intended for smart watches. According to Samsung, such a battery can extend the battery life of the smartwatch up to 1,5 times. The second type, Stripe Battery, is for a change more suitable for smaller fitness trackers such as the Gear Fit, or it could even be integrated into a protective case for the phone, which could give the phone some extra juice. Finally, the company also revealed some interesting developments. Testing the new batteries was really challenging and the company bent the new Band Battery up to 50 times and finally developed a shape that matches the curvature of the human hand. Despite this, the battery worked reliably and Samsung presented it on a prototype watch as proof.
