RihannaIt seems that big tech companies are investing a lot of money in music these days and while for example Apple launched his own streaming service and started making music videos for Eminem and others, Samsung plans to sponsor Rihanna for a change. More precisely, he plans to sponsor the release of his new album Anti and the concert tour associated with it, for which Samsung will pay a total of 25 million dollars. The report is interesting not only from the point of view that Samsung wants to connect with another well-known singer, but also because in recent weeks she has been working very intensively in the music industry.

Only recently, Jay-Z was seen in one of the Samsung buildings in Silicon Valley, where the person responsible for the Milk Music service resides. And since Jay-Z owns streaming service Tidal, there's been a possibility that the pair might want to work together, or even that Samsung might want to buy Tidal and make it available on its phones. According to the latest reports, however, Samsung is focusing on Rihanna, who is signed to the Roc Nation label, which was also founded by rapper Jay-Z. Negotiations between her and Samsung are said to have lasted for 7 months, and in these days they are approaching their successful completion. As part of this partnership, Samsung would promote Rihanna on its phones and could even get exclusive content for Milk Music and possibly Milk VR, the virtual reality video service we reviewed a few weeks back.
