Gear-VR-Internet-BrowserVirtual reality Gear VR already offers quite a large amount of content that you can watch or play here, even if there are significantly fewer games. However, Samsung regularly supplements the offer of applications in virtual reality and most recently enriched the offer with Samsung Internet. Basically, it is an internet browser designed directly for the Gear VR, while the interface of this browser uses some of the previously patented technology. Above all, it is a virtual keyboard flying around the virtual world.

The keyboard itself is not too complicated and feels like the keyboard you are used to Galaxy S6 or S6 edge+. However, it has a slightly different inclination, but that was to be expected. Alternatively, if you have problems with it, you can still use your voice. Finally, Samsung Internet takes into account the fact that virtual reality has 360° and that is what the work with open cards is adapted to. That is, instead of switching between open cards, you actually just turn from one card to another and you can start using it.

The whole experience also includes Gaze Mode, in which users can set the browser so that there is no need to click anywhere and the menu functions are activated depending on where you are looking. Of course, the browser has built-in support for HTML5 and support for 360-degree and 3D videos, but it does not support Flash. However, it is slowly no longer supported by Adobe itself, which recently renamed the Flash Professional application to Adobe Animate.

The Internet Beta is available now in the Oculus Store for free. It is compatible with all supported devices – Galaxy S6, S6 edge, S6 edge+, Note 4 and Note 5.
