galaxy S6 cameraA curved display, measuring body fat using a smartphone or foldable tablet, all this and many more are technologies that Samsung has decided to patent over the past two years. And according to the US Patent Office, it hasn't been that long since another original piece was added to them, as on November 27, the South Korean manufacturer filed a patent application for the so-called "Duo Pixel".

And what is it actually? Except for Samsung, no one really knows. However, the most likely possibility seems to be the new camera technology that Samsung wants to use for its expected Galaxy S7. It was previously revealed that the testers of the South Korean company are testing a brand new 12MPx 0.5″ sensor on the future flagship, the pixels of which are significantly larger than those we have encountered in smartphone cameras so far and at the same time it uses dual-PD sensor technology, where instead of one two photodiodes operate during photography. Thanks to this, focusing is significantly faster, not only when taking pictures, but also when filming. But as mentioned, it is not confirmed informace and although this theory sounds quite realistic, Samsung may come up with something completely different for its novelty.
