Samsung-TV-Cover_rc_280x210The year 2016 started, as usual, with the announcement of new consumer products for the home. And even though phones and tablets also fall into this category to a certain extent, under this category we all think of kitchen appliances or televisions, which are a must in any household. However, Samsung has introduced really significant innovations for this year's televisions, which are precisely created for modern Smart TVs.

One of the novelties introduced by Samsung is the new GAIA security solution for TVs with the Tizen system. This new solution consists of three levels of security and will be available on all Smart TVs that Samsung will introduce this year, which only confirms that all of this year's TVs will feature the Tizen system. GAIA contains the so-called Safe Zone, which is a kind of virtual barrier that protects the core of the system and its critical functions so that hackers or malicious code cannot penetrate them.

To strengthen the security of personal information, such as payment card numbers or passwords, the GAIA system displays a virtual keyboard on the screen, which is not able to be captured by any keylogger, so entering text this way is safe. In addition, the Tizen OS system was literally divided into two main parts, where one contains the main and security component, while the other contains data and is specially secured. In addition, an access key that protects sensitive information and serves to verify it is hidden in a separate chip on the TV's motherboard. At the same time, it will contain everything important for televisions to have a secondary function in the form of a SmartThings hub.
