Samsung SSD T3At the CES 2016, Samsung presented the second generation of its unique external SSD drive, which now bears the name Samsung T3. The new model follows in the footsteps of its predecessor and offers its users not only a high transfer speed, but also miniature dimensions and the new USB-C support, thanks to which you can use it with the latest ultrabooks or with the 12″ MacBook that was introduced last year.

The disk again uses V-NAND technology, which Samsung also uses in internal SSD disks, which are found in many computers and especially in laptops around the world. Thanks to the use of the same technology, it is possible to expect the same transfer speed as with an internal disk, i.e. writing and reading data at a speed of up to 450 MB/s. Hardware data encryption with AES-256 is also present, thanks to which your data remains safe. The bonus is its durability, it survives a fall from 2 meters, which in our opinion is partly due to the dimensions and weight, as it is only 50 grams and slightly smaller than a normal business card. There will be 250GB, 500GB, 1TB and 2TB versions, with prices to be announced later. It will go on sale in February/February.
