samsung-oled-tvSamsung already talked about OLED TV two years ago and even presented some models at the CES fair, but unfortunately it ended there. For some reason, the company gave preference to the new SUHD TVs with Quantum Dot technology, and the promised OLED TVs seemed to fall apart. But that probably won't be true forever, because even though Samsung plans to launch its first SUHD TVs with Quantum Dot technology this year, the company may also introduce a new OLED TV next year.

The decision to bring OLED TV only in 2017 is related to the competitive fight against LG. Both of them plan to introduce TVs with 8K resolution, which is a bit funny if we take into account that in our country we will still only see Full HD resolution and the current generation of consoles also only supports Full HD resolution. On the other hand, 8K resolution will remain an expensive luxury for a long time to come, so there is no need to worry about your 40-inch LED using prehistoric technology just yet.
