Project BeyondThat Samsung in the first teaser trailer on Galaxy Unpacked 2016 presented virtual reality, no coincidence. The company plans on the side Galaxy S7 also presents one big novelty from the world of virtual reality. It will be a Gear 360 camera that will allow you to shoot 360-degree videos that you can then watch using the Gear VR or other VR devices (although this is not certain).

The Samsung Gear 360 will probably be a direct successor to the Beyond project, which was introduced two years ago as a prototype of a 360-degree camera that could be available to the general public. Due to this, the camera has a pair of 180-degree cameras, which together create 360-degree shots. The camera will be able to be connected to the phone using the Gear 360 Connect application and using a Bluetooth connection. The camera has its own battery, so it will need to be charged from time to time.

The Gear 360 also features the Gear 360 Gallery app and support for a number of useful software-controlled features. These include HDR, exposure, white balance, ISO and the ability to switch between 360-degree and 180-degree modes. Each camera has a resolution of 1920 x 1920 pixels, and together they have a resolution of 3840 x 1920 pixels. VR shots, dual-view, panoramic images, timelapse videos and even loops will be available in such resolutions.
