Owning one of the biggest app stores is really difficult, something Google is aware of. Because the developers are kind of idiots and resort to illegal practices like manipulating the number of installs, publishing fake reviews and also falsifying ratings. Based on this fact, Google decided to improve the detection and filtering system of the Play Store, also for the safety of the users themselves.
According to a press release from Google, the new systems are designed so that published applications that are manipulated in some way will be stopped or removed from the Play Store. Engineers and fans of the American giant hope that the new systems will end with applications dominated by fake reviews or numbers of downloads.
