According to a Russian website tjournal.ru it looks like Instagram has decided to test live streams. How will the novelty work?

The social network Facebook boasted a brand new feature called Facebook Live some time ago. As the name suggests, this option allows users to share live videos with their friends, for example from a concert and more. This is a very good feature if you want your family members or friends to always be in the picture.

Among other things, it is possible to respond to each live broadcast using comments, so the video provider can answer some interesting questions. However, there are rumors that Instagram, which has been owned by Facebook for some time, could also receive the feature.

According to a Russian website tjournal.ru it looks like Instagram has decided to test live streams. As you can see in the image below, live videos on the "picture" social network will appear in the section where Instagram Stories are now. Just with the difference that the "live" tag will appear under each story. This tag will make it clear to users that this is a live stream.

Instagram

Unfortunately, we don't have more details about this news yet informace, that is, at least as far as its maximum length is concerned. On Facebook, it is possible to share any length of transmission with other network users, while Instagram supports a maximum of 60-second videos. So the following can be concluded from this for now - if Instagram keeps the face of 60-second videos, the live broadcasts will not last too long. Recently, so-called Q & A (questions and answers) videos have become a trend, but they will not be able to be created on Instagram. So YouTubers will probably be out of luck in this regard.
