A few days ago, we informed you about an interesting test that showed that if you use a black wallpaper on your smartphone, you will increase the battery life. The difference in endurance is hardly noticeable, but even those few extra minutes can sometimes come in handy, especially if you are on the road all day and only sporadically get to the outlet and thus also have the opportunity to charge your phone.

However, it is very important to note that the mentioned saving when setting the black wallpaper only applies to phones with an AMOLED display. Unlike LCD displays, OLED (AMOLED) displays do not have to light up individual pixels to display black, so if you have dark mode activated in your system and you also set a black or very dark wallpaper, you will save battery. In addition, OLED displays have a really perfect black and you certainly won't spoil anything with a dark wallpaper, on the contrary.

So, if you would like to set a dark wallpaper, but you can't find a nice one, then we offer you to download 20 wallpapers below that are perfect for the AMOLED display. So if you have the latest Samsung for example Galaxy S7 or one of the older models, or Google Pixel or Nexus 6P, then definitely set one of the wallpapers. If you have a phone with an LCD display (iPhone and others), then of course you can also set the wallpaper, but you will not achieve the mentioned battery savings.

You can find all 20 wallpapers in the gallery above. Just open the gallery, choose a wallpaper you like and click in the middle of the image. This will display the wallpaper in full size, and you can download it to your smartphone (or PC and then send it to your smartphone) and set it as your background.
