The social network Twitter wrote about the abuse on its corporate blog a few hours ago. It's no secret that Twitter has done a less-than-stellar job of preventing abuse of its social network. In fact, harassment was the main reason companies like Disney balked at buying Twitter. However, now the company has announced three changes that should reduce harassment more effectively.
Since Friday, Twitter has been allowing users to turn off accounts whose tweets you won't see in your timeline or notifications. But now you can even mute certain keywords, phrases, and entire conversations in your notifications.
In addition, Twitter has added new categories for sending tweets to certain people. The company explains everything by saying that it will allow them to better process requests and more.
