Samsung has launched a new high-end gaming monitor. Designed specifically for professional gamers, the CFG70's curved model brings higher image quality and features to give users a truly immersive gaming experience. It was first introduced at Gamescom 2016 and IFA 2016.
As the first curved gaming monitor on the market using Quantum Dot technology, the new model (in 24" and 27" sizes) can deliver vibrant and accurate colors across 125% of the sRGB spectrum. This added luminosity produces a static contrast ratio of 3000:1 and highlights previously hidden game details in bright and dark environments. The monitor is also environmentally friendly as it is manufactured completely without cadmium.

Fast and smooth gameplay
The combination of advanced anti-blur technology and a proprietary VA panel ensures the CFG70 monitor has a very fast response time of 1ms (MPRT). This very fast MPRT value limits the visible transitions between moving objects and animations, so that the player is not disturbed during the game.
The CFG70 features built-in AMD FreeSync technology, which synchronizes the screen's 144Hz refresh rate with the AMD graphics card. This reduces not only input latency, but also image tearing and delays when displaying interactive video content.
Optimized gaming experience
Samsung has equipped the CFG70 monitor with a whole range of controls that make it easier for users to set it up. A special game interface with an intuitive control panel will allow players to more easily adjust and personalize game settings. Both CFG70 monitors also have several buttons on the front and back of the screen to change settings quickly and easily.
Each monitor also goes through a thorough factory calibration before being shipped to be fully compatible with all FPS, RTS, RPG and AOS genres and to provide users with a truly perfect gaming experience even with the most graphically demanding types of games. This process optimizes various settings including contrast ratio, black gamma levels for higher brightness and white balance for temperature control. The result is a sharp and clear image during any type of game.
Comfortable and eye-catching look thanks to the curved design
The design of the CFG70 monitor named “Super Arena” offers the highest curvature ratio of 1R and an ultra-wide viewing angle of 800°, matching the natural curvature of the human eye. The perfect experience is also supported by integrated LED lighting that is interactive with sound. Thanks to this, users really experience the game with all their senses.
Japan's Institute of Design Promotion (JDP) recently awarded the CFG70 monitor with its annual Good Design Awards honoring technologies that "enhance the quality of life, industry and society". JDP praised the efficiency and performance of the CFG70 monitor's advanced gaming interface and the thoughtful layout of controls.
