A recent survey showed that the troubled Note 7 didn't hurt Samsung that much. However, we now know who was behind the whole incident. It was all messed up by the All Hell supplier who made batteries for Samsung SDI - this supplier is to blame for all the Note 7 fires.

According to Reuters, Samsung SDI has managed to convince current partners, including Apple, that its batteries are safe. But they still try to find new customers, naturally. As soon as the first fire broke out, the SDI value dropped by 20%. But since then, the value has returned to its previous level.

"Since the first recall, we have received a lot of questions from our customers, including the question about Apple, whether the batteries used in their products are safe," said an SDI employee who wished to remain anonymous.

"We are currently asking ourselves if we should make the batteries in the same way as the Note 7, or if we should use other methods".

Samsung SDI and its batteries have a 25% market share, but are now also looking to expand into the automotive industry and other industries.
