The new flagship from Samsung is rumored to Galaxy The S8, after all, will not have a dual camera. Apparently, the Korean manufacturer swept the idea of two cameras off the table and decided to deploy a single lens. I would be quite interested in what ultimately led the engineers to take such a drastic step.
Samsung may have done a cost-benefit analysis, comparing whether the dual camera is really so good that the S8 must have it. It is also possible that a pair of cameras would require a longer time for mass production. Unfortunately, we still don't even know if the S8 Edge won't have a dual lens at least. For that, we will have to wait for the official presentation, which will take place at the beginning of next year.
