Undoubtedly, the largest part of the sponsorship that the South Korean company presents itself belongs to the field of sports. This year saw a whole series of events where the Samsung logo or signs lined more than one advertising zone. The biggest event of the year was undoubtedly the Olympic Games, hosted by Rio de Janeiro. At the games themselves, there were also individual athletes who have a close relationship with the electronics manufacturer. One of the most famous is the Brazilian soccer player Junior dos Santos, better known by the pseudonym Neymar. He, like a true captain, took charge of his national team on home soil and led it to the gold medals, which they won after penalty kicks in the match against Germany.

However, an even greater number of medals was won by the sprinting phenomenon of the era of Usain Bolt. He was able to win three gold medals from this top international event for the third time and was able to retire from the Olympics with satisfaction. An example of royal patronage is mobile phones of the highest class in special Olympic adaptation, which all athletes in Brazil received. World events include the PGA golf tournament and Major League baseball.

Innumerable musical events also have the support and presentation of the company. One of the biggest in recent years was the connection with the music princess from Barbados, Rihanna. It hosted a total of 75 venues, of which the largest share of this amount was 43 shows in America, Europe was honored with thirty-one and Asia with a modest one event in Abu Dhabi.
