A 45-year-old man based in California confessed to a rather unusual act a few hours ago. According to him, he poured more than 1 million dollars into the mobile game Game Of War: Fire Age. The same man, Kevin Lee Co, among other things, confessed to the theft of 5 million dollars (approx. 125 million crowns), which he stole from the company he worked for (from 2008 to 2015). He then "invested" a whole million of this money into an online game. The man now faces a 20-year sentence.
Game Of War is one of the most downloaded games in Play Store and App Store. The company behind the app is Machine Zone, which makes really big money from the game. Many users use so-called microtransactions, thanks to which they get bonus items and others for cash. Prices range from $1,99 to $399,99.
