Throughout its long and storied history, Facebook has earned the nickname "the copier of other apps." It's mainly about copying some of the new features that other apps have and Facebook is trying to respond in a certain way. A great example of this right now is Snapchat, which the company wanted to buy. However, she did not succeed, so she is now preparing new functions for her applications, which she will take over from Snapchat. We will not debate here whether it is correct or not. The company is doing great, and that's the most important thing.

Anyway, Facebook is testing a new integrated feature that uses the smartphone camera for its needs. For now, users in Ireland have seen the feature, where, among other things, all beta tests are being carried out. Well, what exactly is the new function? This is de facto the same thing that made Snapchat so popular and a fun network for some. Yes, we are talking about so-called masks and other augmented reality that we are used to. Now, Mashable reports that special filters based on current location are in the testing phase.

These special "location frames" can be used instead of a profile photo or video. Thanks to the new function, users will also be able to mark their coordinates and recommend the visited place to their friends.
