Privacy, that's what it's all about. Samsung in its failed Galaxy Note 7 introduced a very good system trick, which was the ability to secure some folders. You could then keep sensitive documents in these folders, including contacts, photos, e-mails, notes, etc. These were then visible only to you, so you had to put your finger or enter your chosen password to access them. 

After withdrawing the Note 7 from sale, Samsung decided to transfer several exclusive software functions to the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge that will be part of the update Android 7.0 Nougat. You will thus have the so-called Always-on display, Samsung Pass, combined notes or the already mentioned secure folders available on your phone.

As you can see in the image below, Samsung plans to offer Secure Folders as a separate download that will be available in Samsung Apps.
