It hasn't even been a week since Fitbit bought rival wearables and watches Pebble. This informace made Pebble device owners a little nervous because they don't even know how the company will fare in the future. But don't worry. According to a recent official blog, the manufacturer will continue to provide software and services for at least one more year - until the end of 2017.

This means that the Pebble SDK, CloudPebble, API, firmware, mobile apps, developer portal, and Pebble App Store will remain operational until at least 2017. Developers are thus still able to create new or update existing apps, while users can continue use your beloved smart watch.

Pebble's mobile apps will be updated over a series of months to release their reliance on cloud services. It will also ensure that the main feature – Pebble Health – works smoothly. However, it's still unclear what will happen to features that depend on third-party services, including notes, messages, weather, and more.
