A recent Virgin America flight was delayed after crew members discovered that someone had named their Wi-Fi connection to "Samsung Galaxy Note 1097". The captain immediately announced over the loudspeaker that this was no joke, and every piece of luggage on the plane was immediately searched. Just FYI, it was a flight from San Francisco to Boston. 

Before the prankster himself confessed, the pilot had to threaten the passengers by diverting the plane to Wyoming, where he would subsequently land the plane. The pilot announced “Ladies and gentlemen, we have located the device. Luckily it was just renamed to Galaxy Note 7..” So it is clear that it was not the Note 7. In other words, the prankster renamed the SSID, which caused all the commotion. One of the passengers also took a screen shot with his laptop, so you can see for yourself below.
