The Xiaomi Mi 5 is one of the first phones to receive the latest Android 7.0 Nougat. Among other things, the Chinese manufacturer has confirmed other devices from the Mi series that will receive the new update. This long list includes the recently launched Mi Mix and many other phones.
According to posts on the MIUI forum, every Xiaomi phone with a screen smaller than 6,4 inches and a resolution of 2040×1080 pixels will receive the update. This is a very remarkable step because no one has ever published such a list before. Unfortunately, the company "forgot" to indicate the date of availability, so we will have to wait for some Friday. The update will first be available in the form of a beta version, which means that it will only be for a select few.
